Result-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Course

Overview

Result-based monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is a powerful approach that enables policymakers and decision-makers to track progress and demonstrate the impact of a specific project, program, or policy. Result-based M&E differs from traditional implementation-focused M&E in that it shifts the emphasis from inputs and outputs to a greater focus on outcomes and impacts, utilising techniques to link and track indicators and assess the progress of a project toward achieving long-term results. 

This Result-based monitoring and evaluation course equips participants with skills in setting up and implementing results-based monitoring and evaluation systems. The participants will benefit from the latest M&E practices, including the results and participatory approaches. This Result-based monitoring and evaluation course will bring learning to practice for participants to learn about the results levels.

This Result-based monitoring and evaluation course will provide participants with M&E tools, techniques, and resources needed for planning, organising, and/or managing programs and projects. Through exercises and group work, participants will learn the links between results-based measurement, monitoring, and program evaluation. Time will be allotted for practical exercises and informal question-and-answer sessions around common M&E problem areas. Participants will also be provided with additional Resources for further study and research in the M&E field.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for researchers, project staff, development practitioners, managers, and decision-makers who are responsible for project or program-level M&E. The course aims to enhance the skills of professionals who need to research, supervise, manage, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate development projects.

Fees & Duration
